Komission käynnissä ollut, älykkäitä laitteita ja mittareita koskeva esiselvitys laajenee. Komission mukaan aihe on ollut ennakoitua monimutkaisempi ja lisäksi useat sidosryhmät ovat esittäneet sähköautojen laturien mukaan ottoa tarkasteluun. Tästä syystä esiselvitykseen liittyen käynnistetään toinen vaihe, jossa nyt avoimia asioita selvitetään.

”Throughout the Preparatory Study on smart appliances, new relevant aspects have come up which needed further attention in a second phase of the study. The initial work started from a very broad perspective, made good steps in focusing on the most relevant aspects for promoting demand side flexibility-ready smart appliances, but additional work is needed for articulating fully-fledged policy options. Besides this, work is currently being done specifically on the economic modelling i.e. an update with recent PRIMES data and with the EEA-countries. The issue of interoperability explored and monitored by the Preparatory study has appeared more complex than expected and reaches a critical phase over the coming months, therefore additionally requiring further technical follow-up. Moreover, some stakeholders emphasised the need to include chargers for electric cars in the study and to explore their technical potential and other relevant issues in the context of demand side flexibility.”

Sidosryhmäkuuleminen laajennusselvityksestä on tarkoitus järjestää komission toimesta ennen kesätaukoa.

Esiselvitystä varten on perustettu oma nettisivusto, jolta löytyvät valmistuneet esiselvitysdokumentit. Samalla sivustolla voi rekisteröityä sidosryhmän jäseneksi, jolloin saa automaattisesti kutsut sidosryhmäkuulemisiin ja tiedot uusista dokumenteista.
